[ooc]Rusty roleplaying is rusty.
The fifteen year old version of Deshi was unlike the others attending the festival when it came to the kimono-esque attire, though he didn't have the exuberant grin on his face like the others in his age group did. His mother stood behind him, a small child squirming in one of her arms, and her other limb's hand pressed to her swelled stomach. Deshi seemed... generally unamused by this entire situation as he looked down the front of his green clothing, signaling the others that he was from the Earth Kingdom.
Gently the sweet mother placed her hand upon her son's fragile, thin shoulder. "Deshi, I'm sure it'll be fine. Look, it's fun," she encouraged, smiling towards the back of Deshi's head. "I'll leave you alone for now and take your sister to play with the other children." That being said, Deshi could hear the footsteps of his mother beginning to fade away towards the left. The boy let out a heaving sigh, his chest filling with air before deflating once again. "She's probably right," he admitted out loud, though to no one in particular than himself.
Not wanting to seem weird by standing around in one place the entire festival, Deshi began to roam around the road-side shops that were dealing Autumn themed trinkets and food, though the teenage male did not speak as he wandered.

Your skills is fine.
[Shu's Post.]
Above head a clatter of chorus would be heard, a large yellow bird flying over the festive place. Heads turned to gaze of course, only seeing a sight of yellow. However those who did look more intently would notice the red adorned upon it, obviously being armor-- thus belonging to a fire nation warrior. Shu had paid little to no attention to the others around him; more so he continued in the direction he was heading away from the festival. Into the distance he would fade off, however not before glancing down from the side of his eyes to see the mixed citizens below. Lips curled in a frown, the soldier would spot an Earth Kingdom youth, slightly younger in appearance than himself as cold eyes gave a dagger effect, cutting through the boys insides with his glare. It was startling, and obviously extremely intimidating. This earth kingdom youth would be none other than Deshi as Shu flew away.
[Sui's Post.]
With the kingdom as festive as this, who could not enjoy the wonderous prosperity with others? Atleast, thats how the Fire-Lord Sui thought. An elder man with a kind smile and warm heart, he made his way through the festival adorned in peasants clothing, blending in well. Though the people took notice of him, however made no signs of treating him indifferently. He had made it a rule of course, that everyone was equal; and even as the fire-lord he should be treated as the commoner's would. While this of course was something many in the royal family found distasteful, they obliged simply out of respect for their elder and superior.
However, Sui was faced with a troubling situation.
Recently, he had found out that a cousin of his was alive and within his ranks; while being young; he never knew what could happen. He was urged by many to kill this cousin, while the elders urged for patience and a safer way. Even the Avatar had suggested to find an alterior solution to the problem, but what? Sui sighed heavily as he would stumble towards Deshi, a small "oof" escaping his mouth as he bumped into the boy and nearly tumbled. "Ah, my my, I'm so sorry!" He would apologize for his lack of concentration, the troubled expression still upon his face.

Just like those who crowded around him, Deshi lifted his chin upwards to the dimming skies to rest his pale blue gaze upon the sight of a large, flying yellow bird, but more importantly, the boy commanding it. Deshi suddenly felt uneasy as he realized that the boy dressed in red armor had glared at him in the most intimidating ways. His thin, feminine eyebrows lowered a bit in distress as he thought this over, his heart rate increasing as his mind flew over proportion as he imagined that same armored boy getting into his bedroom as Deshi slept and slaughtering him.
However, his horrific daydreaming was cut to an end as he felt a bump against a side, causing Deshi's eyes to widen in surprise and his body to stumble, though he caught himself quickly. "A-Ah," he stammered, turning to face the person who had collided into him. "It's.. it's okay, it's nothing."

"Aha." Sui chuckled lightly, most embarrassed. His eyes closed as he scratched through his hair a bit before allowing his right eye to open up, staring at the boy with a slight frown. "Shouldn't you be playing with the children?" He would question, obviously concerned. He knew some children were quite rude and mean, especially to other nations; and often made them feel out of place by their un-hospital ways. The Fire-Lord waited for a reply, hand falling to his side as his left eyebrow rose a bit.

"The other.." Deshi began, looking around slowly a bit, attempting to register what the Fire Lord was talking about, exactly. Once it sank into his skull, the boy looked back towards the elder and shrugged modestly. "I'd rather not.. I prefer to be alone," Deshi replied politely, using a clear, stable voice as he spoke to the aged man. It was obvious that Deshi was becoming uncomfortable with this conversation due to the fact that his feet would shuffle every so often, or he would fidget in place. He was not one for speaking, especially not to complete strangers.

"... I see." Obviously, the old man was up to something. Eyes shifted behind him as the presence of another was made known-- a youth with charcoal hair, clad in light red armor. He walked forward and gave a nod to the Fire-Lord, eyes remaining closed. "You called for me?" His voice was soft and mischevious, and slowly about his shoulders would flutter a small yellow bird, the youths eyes slowly opening to stare directly at the Earth Kingdom citizen.
"Apologies, but you may leave our presence now." He spoke coldly, yet Sui dismissed this and shook his head with a generous smile, obviously having come to a conclusion on some sort of plan. "No no, I would like you to be this boys playmate, Shu. He could use the company." He would state, ignoring the fact that Shu's facial features was one of silent rage. A sigh as the boy turned his head to the right, eyes closing again.
"I'm going now, you two enjoy yourselves!"
Shu frowned at his goodbye, and eyes shifted to stare at Deshi again. No words was spoken, he would merely follow in utter silence, staring down Deshi's back and neck.

Deshi remained silent as he watched the two Fire Nation natives begin to speak to one another, and upon the younger one in armor dismissing him, Deshi began to turn his body to leave, though to his dismay the elder threw away that option and forced the anti-social Deshi to remain in his spot. He wondered when the pair would release him, and thus he began to look around idly, wondering where he would run off to as soon as he was able to go.
However, what the elder suggested caused Deshi to snap his head back to it's original position, staring wide-eyed at the elder. "Wh-what?" he stammered, eyebrows lowering. "I don't need anything like that... I'm fine, rea--" though before Deshi could finish, the old man was blissfully taking his exit, leaving the Earth Kingdom commoner with this armor-bearing firebender.
Another silence as Deshi let his eyes slowly and timidly lock with Shu's, his lips turning into a frown as he realized that he was now stuck with the person he had day dreamed about murdering him earlier, not more than five minutes ago. He would have introduced himself if he wasn't so socially shy, or if he could just choke out the words.

No words were spoken as the awkward silence remained, hands positioned behind his lower back now as he stood in a "stand by" fashion. Of course, over the matter of three minutes of silence Shu would give a heavy sigh, eyes sizing the boy up. "You certainly don't look like much to be an Earth Bender. Frail and Fragile." A hand lifted as fingers would aim to prod into the boys shoulder in a push, a smirk over his face. Teasingly, he would allow his finger tips to heat just enough to cause a small sensation within the boys shoulder to frighten him, however he would not go far. He simply liked abusing people.
"Weak."

He would remain silent as Shu critiqued his physical appearance and worth, only watching the male's movements gloomily. However, when he felt the tingle of heat push though his clothing and onto his skin, Deshi let out a small whine of surprise, having been startled, and stumbled to the side in retaliation, attempting to escape from being within arm's length of the firebender. Deshi spent about two seconds rubbing his shoulder a bit with the opposite hand, taking his eyes away from the abusive human in front of him.
Once he convinced himself that he was okay, Deshi, in the most calm way he could, returned to face Shu. "I.. I don't really think it matters what you think of me," Deshi stammered out, though due to his weak tone, it was clear that it at least mattered to him a bit. "Appearance is only one thing.." His try at defending himself was quite feeble.

"Appearance is everything."
He corrected him as his chin rose, forearms behind his back while he gazed haughtily down at the boy. Eyes would however, close as he sighed; his chin falling down as he began to speak once more. "You cannot into a resturant in rags. You cannot win a talent show with a dirt caked face. You cannot be a celebrity and be poor, or you will be a minor. Think it over. What else can you not achieve with low status and wretched appearance?"
He questioned, obviously trying to put the boy in a corner.

Shu's effort at backing the poor Deshi into an awkward corner was working well, as slowly Deshi's facial features would become more and more intimidated, and more pessimistic. "I.. I don't know," he stammered, of course addressing Shu's last question. He wasn't actually sure if the inquiry was even meant to be answered, thus confusing Deshi further.
A small sigh as Deshi would look down at his feet, trying to pull himself back together, though the more he thought about it, the more his thin body began to quiver. Defeated, the boy brought his pale blue gaze back onto Shu's face and tilted his head innocently to the side. "Wh.. what else?"

"Kaseifu."
He dubbed the boy, turning. He would of course signal the boy to follow obediently, lest he wished to be thrashed. Simply put, Shu was 'taming' the boy, increasing his own profit on the slave trade. Well, sorta. Regardless, the youthful firebender would head off into the crowd, glancing around as the fireworks shattered the night sky; a juggler juggling torches in front of them. By now Shu had become quiet again, hair falling above his brow as he inspected the scenery.

Immediately Deshi's cheeks flushed a pale pink color, his orbs growing wide in surprise. "D-Don't call me that!" Deshi insisted in an embarrassed tone, his expression switching quickly from shocked to upset. Though, when Shu began to walk away, Deshi seemed unable to do what he would normally do, and that would be to walk away and forget about the entire ordeal.
Instead, though, Deshi obediently followed the Fire Nation boy, eyebrows lowered as he looked down, watching Shu's feet as he followed after him. "Where're we going..?" Deshi asked quietly, almost in a mumble.

"Speak when spoken to."
A harsh sentence, the fire bender ignoring the question as he stopped in front of a stand, observing the wares of a merchant. There was a small dagger, as well as a scimitar and a quiver of arrows. Dagger would be picked up, keen eyes gazing over the blade tip as he frowned; a toss as the weapon would be directed towards Deshi in a less harmful manner. But of course, he had better be paying attention. "Tell me the quality of that weapon. It's refined, but a bit rusty at the tip. How much damage would it do?" He ordered, quizzing the boy on his intellect.
